    Our metallic epoxy flooring installation process begins with a cleaning and inspection of your existing concrete floor. If any damage is found, such as cracks or chipping, we’ll need to repair it before moving to the next step. Cracks will be repaired using an injectable epoxy filler, and chipping will be fixed using a concrete patch. Once all damage is taken care of, we can move on to surface preparation.
    Our team typically uses a floor grinder fitted with a diamond grinding wheel to prep the concrete’s surface. We’ll grind down the concrete’s outer layer to remove any minor blemishes and ensure proper adhesion between the concrete and the epoxy resin. After the surface is prepped, we’ll mix the epoxy and metallic pigments together and start applying it to the floor. The epoxy is spread and manipulated using specialized tools that we’ll also use to form any patterns you’ve requested. This style of epoxy can be used to create shimmering, swirling patterns with one or more colors and patterns that mimic scenes from nature, such as flaming lava, tranquil ocean water, and picturesque skies. Whatever design you’ve selected will be applied during this step of the process. Our crew will apply multiple layers of epoxy until we meet the desired thickness for your floor. Next, we’ll apply a clear epoxy topcoat to seal everything in. With the clear topcoat in place, your new metallic epoxy floor just needs time to cure. After 24 hours, the floor will be 90% cured and safe to walk on. The metallic epoxy floor will be ready for full use, including vehicle traffic, after 72 hours.
